The Financial Consumer Protection Centers (Pénzügyi Fogyasztóvédelmi Központ) main function is to supply consumers with comprehensive and easy to understand information about the products and processes in the financial sector, and to handle consumer claims. The Financial Consumer Protection Center is an efficient consumer protection organization operating within The Central Bank of Hungary. It is the consumer friendly façade of the supervisory arm of the organization. Our motto is that every customer matters and they all matter equally.
The roles of the Financial Consumer Protection Center include: operating of the customer service center and the call center, the processing of written consumer claims and providing comprehensive information both directly and indirectly, via cooperating Civil Society Organizations and Government Service Centers.
Our goal is to strengthen the financial consumer protection, increase the level of financial literacy and to provide guidance for conscious financial planning ranging from household finances to mortgages.
