1. At its meeting on 2 November 2004, the Monetary Council considered the latest money and capital market developments. In accordance with the Council’s meeting schedule, changing the central bank base rate did not come up at Tuesday’s meeting.
    The Council discussed the first version of the November 2004 issue of the Bank’s Quarterly Report on Inflation, and was briefed about experiences with payment transactions and liquidity management by commercial banks.
  2. The Government and the MNB jointly set the end-2006 inflation target at 3.5±1%.
