• At its meeting on 19 April 2004, the Monetary Council considered the latest economic and financial developments and left the central bank base rate unchanged at 12.00%.
  • The Council set the dates for its scheduled meetings to be held in 2004 H2 as follows:

5 July, 19 July, 2 August, 16 August, 6 September, 20 September, 4 October, 18 October, 2 November (Tuesday), 22 November, 6 December, 20 December.

  • The dates of electronic publication of the MNB’s Quarterly Report on Inflation in 2004 H2 are 2 p.m., Monday, 16 August 2004 and 2 p.m., Monday, 22 November 2004. Simultaneously with publication of the Report, the Monetary Council will issue a statement containing its own assessment of economic conditions. Following the electronic issue of the Report, the Chairman of the Council will hold a press conference to present the Council’s statement at 2:30 p.m. The technical consultations with the Economics Department staff will be held at 3 p.m. on the days of electronic publication of the Report.
