1 At its meeting on 16 March 2005, the Monetary Council considered the latest economic and financial developments. In addition, members reviewed the Bank’s monetary programme and the analytical framework of the forthcoming issue of the Report on Financial Stability. Also at Wednesday’s meeting, the Council was briefed on the business activities of Hungarian credit institutions, on the basis of information derived from interim reports.
2 Dr Tamás Bánfi, Dr Péter Bihari, Dr Csaba Csáki and Judit Neményi, members of the Council appointed for a term of six years with effect from 1 March 2005, attended the Monetary Council’s meeting for the first time.
