At its meeting on 5 September 2005, the Monetary Council reviewed the latest economic and financial developments, and discussed the Bank’s monetary programme for 2005–2006. In accordance with its meeting schedule, the Council did not take a decision on the central bank base rate at Monday’s meeting.
