Press release on the results of the mortgage bond purchase operation of 15 September 2010

On 15 September 2010, the MNB conducted its auction to purchase domestically issued forint mortgage bonds in the secondary market. Market participants submitted offers for a total amount of HUF 14.4 billion. Offers for 7 bonds were received of the 10 securities the Bank offered to purchase under the programme.

Taking into account all available secondary market price information, the Bank accepted offers for 4 securities, for a total amount of HUF 5.2 billion. Details of the offers received and accepted by the Bank can be accessed by clicking on the link below.

The next auction to purchase mortgage bonds in the secondary market will take place on 20 October 2010.
