On April 11, 2018 the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (the central bank of Hungary) hosted the fourth annual conference in the framework of its Budapest Renminbi Initiative. At the Budapest Renminbi Initiative 2018 Conference, at which also the representative of the People’s Bank of China delivered a speech, well-known financial leaders and experts gave lectures and presentations on renminbi. The event also provided an opportunity for the policy- and decision-makers, leaders from the economic and financial sector and experts from Hungary and abroad to discuss the current state of the Chinese-Hungarian economic, trade and financial relations, and the possibilities for progress both in deepening and bringing relations to higher level and in building new relationships.
