Matolcsy: Transition to hybrid systems

Rodger Baker is absolutely right telling us that the race for new energy has started /On geopolitics, 7/12/2021/. It is indeed a part – as was always during our history- of great power competition.

It is also a part of the widespread electrification of human activities. This has been taking place since Edison, Tesla and the early years of electric buses in Detroit.

Electrification of human communication was accelerated by the Introduction of Internet.

Electric vehicles /EVs/ will be common around the globe soon.

Electrification of our human brain will be a part of the process via AI and VR.

Electrification of our environment by “smart cities” will restructure work and education, leisure and pleasure.

All human activities will be reshaped by this transition to hybrid systems.
