Budapest Eurasia Forum 2022

The Budapest Eurasia Forum 2022 is the fourth event of the Budapest Eurasia Forum conference series, which was initiated by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB), the central bank of Hungary and began its journey in 2019 (Pre-Forum Session 2019). After the successful E Conferences in 2020 and 2021, the Forum is returning in September 2022, under the title “Sustainable Growth and Cooperation – How to Win the 21st Century?” As the world tries to “live with” the COVID-19 as an endemic disease, we are now striving for a hybrid event, bringing back at least some of the personal encounters of European and Asian thinkers in Budapest, the capital of Hungary in the heart of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Furthermore, we are preparing a fully fledged agenda with a high-level opening ceremony and six thematic panels, all of them considering fresh interpretations and new aspects of sustainability, competitiveness and international cooperation. Thus, the event will again reflect the MNB’s commitment towards global dialogue and sharing best practices.

Located at the crossroads of many important routes between Europe and Asia, Hungary is well positioned to serve as an intellectual hub for experts from different Eurasian countries. In this spirit, the Budapest Eurasia Forum 2022 continues to bring together high-ranking decision-makers, entrepreneurs, business leaders and academics to meet in Budapest (either physically or personally) and share their ideas on how to promote sustainable growth and competitiveness in a mutually beneficial way.

Remember that our last event, the E-Conference 2021 attracted more than 15 thousand people in the audience, and thanks to worldwide streaming options, its impact is still alive in many countries. There are good reasons to believe that the upcoming 2022 Forum will mobilize even more guests and viewers, and consequently, it will help to further strengthen the international network of the MNB – and the evolving global community of the Budapest Eurasia Forum as well.
