The aim of the "Inflation Report" is to promote public understanding of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank’s monetary policy by presenting past and expected developments in inflation and providing detailed assessments of the key macroeconomic factors driving inflation.

From 2011, the "Inflation Report" is prepared in March, June, September and December, with each issue ranking equally. In line with international best practice, the Report is published at 10 a.m. two days after the Monetary Council’s interest rate-setting meeting.

Electronic version of the "Inflation Report" published before the June of 2000 is not available.
