 Guided tours

Guided tours are available three times a week (Tuesdays at 2 p.m., Wednesdays at 12 a.m. and Fridays at 2 p.m.) for 2 to 100 people. Foreign language tours are available by appointment.

Library

Contains close to 80,000 volumes in Hungarian and other languages, where the leading subjects are macro-economics, banking and finances. The reading-room also offers trade journals, publications of foreign central banks and international organisations, online catalogues, manuals, copy machines and scanners to visitors.

Coin sales

The National Bank of Hungary issues commemorative coins 4-5 times a year, in connection with the anniversary of a historical figure or event. Commemorative coins from the past 50 years are on display, with new ones on sale between 9 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. in the coin shop of the Hungarian Minting Company on regular business days.

The Visitor Centre is open in weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.. Gate 9 on Szabadság tér has been adapted to accommodate handicapped visitors.
