The importance of supervisory transparency and accountability has been stressed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and by the European legislation (actually Directive 2013/36//EU and Regulation (EU) No. 575/2013 – Capital Requirements Directive and Regulation, CRD IV/CRR). The Committee of European Banking Supervisors, predecessor of the European Banking Authority (EBA) therefore developed a supervisory disclosure framework allowing meaningful comparison of the implementation of the capital requirements framework in the Member States. The tables of information in this section were developed by the working group of EBA and are released on the individual homepages of the supervisory authorities of the EU Member States. The EBA website will serve as a centralised electronic repository and will allow for a quick and easy comparison of the relevant information. The websites of the national supervisory authorities will provide the exhaustive and detailed information required by the Directive 2013/36//EU and the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/912 laying down implementing technical standards with regard the format, structure, contents list and annual publication date of the information to be disclosed by competent authorities in accordance with CRD IV.
