The MNB publishes various informative materials for the cross-border service providers. This sub-menu item contains information with regards to the rules applicable to the cross-border activity of the credit institutions and the rules related to the reporting of the establishment of branch offices based on CRD.

On the 17th of September, 2014 the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 926/2014 laying down implementing technical standards with regard to standard forms, templates and procedures for notifications relating to the exercise of the right of establishment and the freedom to provide services according to Directive 2013/36/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council has entered into force (ITS).

The credit institutions having their registered seat in the EEA shall submit their CRD cross-border and branch passport notifications according to the ITS.

Based on Article 3 Paragraph (2) of the ITS, the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) hereby publishes the information required to submit the notifications.

The MNB accepts the notifications in Hungarian or in English. The notifications should also be submitted in a language accepted by the competent authorities of the host Member State, or in any Union language accepted by both the competent authorities of the home and host Member States.

When submitting passport notifications by post, the MNB asks to send the notification to the following address: H-1534 Budapest BKKP P.O. Box 777. The notifications may be addressed to the Licensing Department.
